Holly Benton

Bio
Holly grew up in Virgina and North Carolina and earned her bachelor’s degree at Wellesley College. An unplanned detour during a cross-country trip found Holly visiting friends on a houseboat in Portage Bay. It being Seattle in July, she was obviously too charmed to leave.
Once settled in Seattle, Holly went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!). While there she was actively involved in the Law Women’s Caucus, served as an intern for the Northwest Women’s Law Center (now Legal Voice), served on the board of The Gay and Lesbian Law Association (now QLaw), and co-chaired and ran the annual conference for a national LGBTQI+ legal organization. Following graduation, she spent several years practicing complex commercial litigation and employment law at Williams Kastner and Dorsey & Whitney in Seattle and a brief, but fun stint at T-Mobile before a family matter took her back east.
Once east again, Holly became a strong advocate for legal privacy and served in multiple privacy compliance roles at the University of North Carolina (Go Heels!) and at Duke. She also practicedprivacy and data protection law at firms in North Carolina and in private industry supporting the privacy law needs of a multi-national healthcare corporation and a fintech corporation.
Holly’s work in privacy and data protection was important and impactful, but she was drawn toapply her experience to serve and support clients with very personal, challenging legal needs of the nature that affect their day-to-day wellbeing and the quality of their life and that of their children. For Holly, it is a true honor to have the opportunity to be of service to clients and their families and to do so with an exceptional attorney and colleague, dear friend, and law school classmate, Renee Lee, and as part of the Guadagno Law team.
